The castings and lenses for these beacons are made by Railroad Supply. They add a really nice detail to your engine and can be made even better by lighting it. A super bright white LED and an appropriate electric circuit can be supplied to make it flash in a prototypical way.  I have one on my GP30 with 3 LEDs and it works and looks great. Below are pictures of it with the lens on and one showing the two base sizes.
